Ana Catalina Rojas LEED AP, earned a Masters in Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture from Istituto Europeo Di Design in Italy. Born in La Paz, Bolivia, Ana Catalina has had the opportunity to work in Europe, Latin America, and the US - giving her the opportunity to work on projects at many different scales in many different locations and cultures.

Apart from Architecture - Photography and Art have played a strong role in her career.

By combining conventional photography with digital technology, printmaking, inkjet transfers and mixed media, she has found a way to produce a series of works that recreate a story that may not exist in the original image. By reusing any object, shape or form that catches her attention, she brings back the history or simply reconstructs a new memory with a new story ready to be told. The viewer is then presented with this moment between truth and fiction.

Her work strives to create a sub-reality where existing forms are manipulated, changed and transformed, leading to a final image that is a composition of layering. Each body of work, despite its difference in theme, is motivated by the same concept and idea of recreating a memory.
